Don’t forget! GSLP will close at 12:00 PM on Wednesday, Sept. 25, for monthly staff professional development. Please make arrangements to pick up your child by 12:00 PM. Late fees will be in effect!
Children do not need to bring a lunch on early release days. Snack will be served as usual.
Join us for a fun family event! Younger siblings and students in GSLP’s Tuesday/Thursday classes and their caregivers are invited to Family Play & Learn in Room 204 on Wednesday, Sept. 25, 9:30-10:30 AM.
We will have educational toys for children to explore during a free play session, followed by songs and a story. We recommend this event especially for families with children who are new to school and are looking to start building a network with other preschool parents. (Caregivers should plan to stay with their children the whole time.)
We hope to see you there!
Reminder: The second tuition payment for families who registered prior to July 2, 2019, is due on Thursday, August 1.
The Preschool Office will be open on Thursday, August 1, from 9:30 AM to 1:30 PM to accept tuition payments (check or cash) and any outstanding paper forms.
Tuition payments can be made online! Visit our Payments page to get started. Forms are available on our Student Forms page.
Please note that tuition payments dropped off during Vacation Bible School are considered late and should include the $20 late fee. We do not recommend dropping off tuition payments during Vacation Bible School as the directors will be occupied with VBS duties.
Good Shepherd Lutheran Preschool is happy to invite prospective families to stop by this summer for a tour! School may be out for summer, but we have set up a sample classroom for your family to visit. We encourage you to bring your child along to check it out!
If you would like to stop by, view our sample classroom, and learn about our program, we ask that you please use our Schedule a Visit form to set up a time in advance. Office hours are by appointment only during the summer.
We look forward to meeting you!
Families of students enrolled for this fall will receive a letter in July describing the opening days of school. If you do not receive this letter by August 1, please contact the preschool office. If your address changes during the summer, please email the preschool with your updated contact information so that we can send the letter to the correct address.
Your summer letter will include an invitation to attend a gathering with your child’s teachers and classmates at the GSLP playground. These gatherings are an opportunity for parents and children to meet one another and begin building relationships that will continue throughout the year. Gatherings will happen the week of September 2.
The next big event to kick off the school year will be classroom visits on September 11. Parents and students visit classrooms together to introduce the kids to where they will spend the year. Your child’s first school day will be a mini-day, an hour-long session during which parents will stick around for GSLP’s yearly parent orientation. Next, Early Pre-K students will have shortened sessions to gradually start the year, while Pre-K students will start full sessions.
A preliminary yearly calendar and a detailed September 2019 calendar are available on the GSLP website’s School Calendar page.
A second tuition payment is due August 1. If you will be away during that time, please send in the tuition ahead of time. If tuition is not received by August 1, the office staff will assume that you wish to withdraw your child from school. The preschool office will be open on August 1 from 9:30 AM to 1:30 PM for parents who wish to drop-off their tuition and paper forms.
