GSLP Halloween Policy

Reminder: Students should NOT wear costumes to school on Halloween (Thursday, October 31). GSLP treats Halloween as a regular day of school so that our young friends can avoid feeling spooked.

If your child does enjoy costumes and other Halloween festivities, please join us on Sunday, October 27, 2:00-4:00 PM, for Trunk or Treat here at Good Shepherd! This event for Preschool and Church families offers a chance to enjoy crafts, games, and trick-or-treating in costume here in the building and the parking lot.

Trunk or Treat will be open rain or shine on Sunday afternoon. We hope to see you there!

Coat and Boot Collection for Judy Center

Brrr, it’s getting chilly out there! GSLP is collecting gently used warm coats and boots for our friends at the Gaithersburg Judy Center. As you pull out your children’s winter gear this year, consider donating any outgrown items, especially items sized for children birth to age 5. Look for the donation bin next to Ms. Fischer’s office door. Thank you for your generosity!

The Pout-Pout Fish in the Big-Big Dark, by Deborah Diesen: Mr. Fish is back in another rhyming tale, this one about facing a big-big fear. The Legend of Spookley the Square Pumpkin, by Joe Troiano: Spookley, the hero of this rhyming tale, is different from the other pumpkins—while they are round and have fun rolling around the pumpkin patch, Spookley has edges that keep him in place.
